Adverts from magazine.

In this initial proposal you must:

The brief: a print-based advertising campaign for a new product, such as a new clothing range, to include a brand name design, two full-page magazine advertisements and a billboard poster, using original photography.

I chose this brief because I like the idea of advertising and I am more familiar with it. i had experience using photoshop so it might help in creating an advert. For me, it is something i am more familiar with because i see adverts everywhere. i read fashion magazine so i have an idea of what adverts in magazines would look like and what would be expected of an advert. I didnt choose to do the music videos because that would require a group of people working together. i think that would be quite hard because there would be a need to organise a time for everyone to meet and all that stuff. I chose not to do the audio ones because i dont want to study that topic in depth yet.

My magazine advert and billboard will involve choosing the product i plan to advertise. The things i think i would need to complete is taking photos of the perfume bottle and a model. I will need to prepare the background and type of clothes that the model would be wearing. i will have to use photoshop to put my photos together to create an advert.

The product i plan to advertise would be a female product, probably clothing or perfume. The target audience will be young middle aged women, aged between 20 and 35. the perfume would not be very expensive, suitable for women who have average incomes. The overall design will have an image of the product, a background picture relating to the product and the brand name. there would be three advert pieces, each relating to the theme, which will be set by the product name.

I want to research on what the conventions are for a female perfume advert. The layout and the the type of fonts. etc. Therefore i have selected 3 different adverts which i will use for close analysis. These will give me an idea of the type of product and design i would need to create for my adverts.
